We are Bart and Cecile

We are Bart and Cecile Wittkampf-Hannen, with our sons Jona and Kalle. Together we are the hosts of Hoeve Hurpesch.

How it began

From Leiden to the Heuvelland

We met as colleagues in Leiden. Bart (from Schoonhoven) studied public administration there, studied for a year in Canada and did volunteer work in Indonesia. Cecile (from Bingelrade) studied development studies in Nijmegen and then did volunteer work in Nicaragua for a few years. While we were living in Leiden, it turned out we wanted something different after all.
It itched. Cecile wanted to cook for guests and started Cecilekooktvoorjou: catering and a teeny-tiny living-room restaurant. In the very first year we were, quite unexpectedly, ‘crowned’ IENS Topper 2011, what an honour.

Our first B&B

A B&B on the Rhine

Bart wanted to use his passion for people more. He did the post-graduate course Coaching and Guidance and started his organisation Coach&Psycholoog, in which, as a team coach, he could mean a lot to various organisations.
Then we packed our bags and started a B&B, cooking studio and coaching company in Millingen aan de Rijn. A great time, with wonderful experiences, lovely people and fantastic assignments, including a Wie is de Mol game for 85 people. In 2015 we received a Booking award with a 9.6!

Back to our roots

And that is how we found Hoeve Hurpesch

Then came a little son, Jona, and after that a second, Kalle. We wanted to go back to our roots, to South Limburg, because it is so beautiful here too! We wanted to combine all our activities, preferably in a lovely farm with views over the fields, in the middle of the Heuvelland.
The search began and after a year and a half we found our dream place: Hoeve Hurpesch.

What we do now

Bart and Cecile today

You will meet us on the farmstead, and this is what keeps us busy.

Bart and his coaching

When Bart is not reading a book, he is in an ice bath or guiding people (individuals, leaders and teams) who are looking for meaning or a new direction. On www.coachingheuvelland.nl you can read more.

Cecile and the cooking

Cecile loves cooking for her family and the guests. Cosy together at the table. She no longer does everything herself, so she also has time for her family. In busy periods we work with other cooks.
