You can check in at ’t Bakhuisje from 3.00 pm and at ’t Grote Vakwerkhuis from 4.00 pm. Check-out is at 10.00 am at both houses, when the cleaning team arrives. We kindly ask you to respect these times.

Unfortunately not. Another booking often arrives on the same day and our cleaning company cannot change its times. Extending your stay by half a day is possible, for extra rent and requested well in advance.

In principle we only rent out weekends (short or long), midweeks or whole weeks. In midweeks it can be different, including day hire without an overnight stay. We then make a tailor-made quote.

Ja, voor {hh_prijs:hond} per verblijf per huisdier. Je vinkt dit aan bij je reservering. Honden mogen alleen op de begane grond en niet op banken en bedden. Neem graag een eigen dekentje of bench mee.

Ja. Er is een houtkachel in beide huizen, buiten een pizza-oven (’t Grote Vakwerkhuis) en een Weltevree-outdooroven bij ’t Bakhuisje. Stookhout kost {hh_prijs:stookhout} per grote zak en wordt na vertrek verrekend met de borg.

Yes, we have 2 charging points for our guests. On arrival you will find all the instructions inside, and a charging card. The costs are settled with the deposit. Unfortunately you cannot use your own charging card.

Please leave it ‘broom-clean’, as with any holiday home. Collect the rubbish, strip the beds, put the used towels by the entrance, leave the fridges empty and clean, put the dishes back in the right place and put moved furniture back. Most important of all: leave the kitchen, including the inside of the ovens and the stove, neat and clean. On departure you receive a checklist to go through.

Vanaf 8 personen kun je een ontbijtbuffet reserveren, vanaf {hh_prijs:ontbijt} p.p. Wij zorgen voor een luxe ontbijt met echte verse jus, diverse broodjes en croissantjes, yoghurt, muesli, lokale vleeswaren en kazen, jam, stroop en honing uit de streek, en een eitje met biologisch spek. Op verzoek maken we ook American pancakes.

Guests of the large half-timbered house can. Not in the mood to do it yourself? Then we can organise a pizza evening or set out a DIY pizza kit for you. At ’t Bakhuisje there is a smaller outdoor oven where you can also bake a pizza.

Our own favourites are the breakfast and the famous Pizza Night, with antipasti boards, pizzas from the wood-fired oven, salads and dessert. On request we also provide other dinners, ourselves or together with one of our regular catering partners: a buffet, or a luxury dinner with a private chef. In Mechelen you will find the farm shop Géron for vegetables, fruit and eggs and the neighbourhood supermarket Magazijn51 for cold cuts and rolls (do order in advance!). In Epen there is a slightly larger neighbourhood supermarket, in Gulpen a Plus and Aldi and a number of bakers, in Vaals an AH XL and Lidl. Eyserhalte in Eys is a regional products shop where you will be spoilt for choice. You can get local wines from St. Martinus, just around the corner.

Yes, but have them delivered at a time when you are there (after check-in time). Before that the cleaning team is still at work and we are not there to receive them. Choose a time slot after 4.00 pm, or bring enough for the first evening and have the rest delivered the next day. Albert Heijn, Jumbo and the Plus in Gulpen deliver to us.

Yes, the best place is Bakkerij Franssen in Epen. The bakers are closed on Sundays. A good butcher for the barbecue is Slagerij Kusters in Margraten or De Varkenshoederij in Mechelen.

’t Bakhuisje has an old-fashioned filter coffee machine, a thermos flask and a semi-automatic espresso machine. ’t Grote Vakwerkhuis has a semi-automatic espresso machine, a large Bravilor coffee machine (filters are provided) and a Nespresso machine. Both houses have a milk frother. You bring your own coffee, coffee beans or Nespresso cups.

Coffee (beans, ground or cups), tea, milk and sugar, olive oil, butter, pepper and salt, a bathrobe and slippers and possibly an extra large towel for the sauna. Bring boots too, because it is sometimes very wet and muddy around the Geul.

We do not have a complete inventory list. You can assume that everything is there to cook up a storm: enough pans, lovely serving dishes and oven dishes, good chef's knives and a knife sharpener. Are you a cooking enthusiast with your own favourite knives? Then bring them.
